The H3 Launch Vehicle is the next-generation core rocket, developed by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries as the successor to the H2A, which has been in operation since 2001. It embodies high performance capable of handling larger satellites and achieves both efficiency and low cost, becoming the mainstay of space development and utilization.
Katolec took on the crucial role of the artwork (pattern design) and manufacturing of the control board mounted on the H3 Launch Vehicle’s main engine [LE-9]. We established a Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with JIS-Q-9100, and in adherence to the implementation standards for space equipment known as JERG, we designed and produced our own fixtures that assure high-quality manufacturing with vibration resistance, moisture protection, and foreign object countermeasures.
We contributed to the realization of the H3 Launch Vehicle’s goals for “flexibility,” “high reliability,” and “low cost.”
We offer integrated services ranging from design to material procurement and final assembly, with a focus on mounting printed circuit boards widely used in electronic devices. With production facilities in 9 countries including Japan, China, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, India, and Mexico, encompassing 12 factories, we manufacture a diverse array of products for office automation, automotive, consumer electronics, industrial, medical, and aerospace/space sectors.
